Well, the City Inn, my regular spot in Dar es Salaam, finally responded to what I can only imagine were a
flood of complaints regarding the windows. They actually put wooden boards up to block the windows and hallway light! Is this the beginning of a sea change in hotel interior design in Tanzania or simply an isolated incident? Will my blog post be used in a thesis fifty years from now exploring the changes in light and sleep patterns or historical interior design features of the hospitality industry?
